Are you passionate about increasing physical activity to enhance the health of our community; improve air quality and encourage sustainable travel? If so, and you’re skilled at multi agency partnership working, our new Active Environments role could be for you.
In this role you will assist in driving forward the Council’s aim of increasing physical activity and healthy lives across the borough with a focus on creating active environments. This will involve linking up and coordinating across a range of current workstreams as well as carrying out projects to promote active lives.
You will be adept at building an evidence base for action and will collect and analyse appropriate information, relevant research studies, government initiatives, policy, new legislation and behaviour change programmes to assist in the development and delivery of the project. You will ensure that decisions made by the Council are informed by robust data and evidence.
Your project management skills will ensure you deliver on your responsibility for managing an action plan setting out active environments goals to address targets by 2030.
It is essential that you have excellent people and leadership skills, are able to build positive relationship and can influence decision making.
