Having recently acquired city status, this is an exciting time to join us, our agenda is ambitious, and you will be working alongside senior management team to identify and deploy organisational development strategies to enable the council to attract, retain and develop the capability required to meet current and future organisational needs.
If you have proven experience in enhancing organisational performance and delivering development interventions then you are the person who will help support Colchester Borough Council to achieve its exciting strategic priorities.

As an essential member of the People and Performance Team you will be working alongside the Learning and Development lead and Human Resources Business Partners to influence organisational improvement and change initiatives, embedding a culture that proactively supports the development, implementation and evaluation of a wide range of organisational development solutions and interventions that deliver sustainable improvements in individual, team and organisational performance.
You will be instrumental in enabling continuous improvement and performance delivery, build leadership capacity and provide support for the development and co-ordination of the council’s culture, values and behaviours framework.
Qualifications and skills required
To be successful in this role, you will be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development CIPD and have experience of implementing organisation development interventions in a large multi-disciplinary organisation.
Drive and determination are a must, as well as the ability to influence and make an impact in the design and delivery of OD initiatives involving large scale change.
