As a Community Activity Leader, you will lead on the delivery of high quality and fun community-based activities, to improve residents’ health and wellbeing, at a range of venues across the district.
Examples of activities you might lead include multi-sports, craft camps, and after school clubs.
You may also be asked to assist with special events and day trips.
Candidates should be able to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues in their roles, ensuring a collaborative team approach to meeting customer’s needs.
In particular we would like to hear from those who have experience or qualifications in sports coaching, fitness, the arts, and working with people with disabilities.
You will be working across various ages and abilities, in particular with children and young people.
We are looking for individuals with availability across the year, during term-time and/or the school holidays, as well as evenings and occasional weekends; please give an indication of your availability on your application.
Successful candidates will also have the ability to transport equipment to venues across the district.

We are seeking a strong, organised and motivated individual to deliver a proactive, outcome focused response to homelessness issues within Epping Forest.
As the senior officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team of homelessness officers ensuring that you deliver positive solutions to complex problems.
You will hold regular case supervision sessions with staff, you will specialise in and have a detailed understanding and awareness of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 including related Codes of Guidance and case law.
You will be a strong team player who is able to respond creatively in a challenging environment, dedicated to the pursuit of homelessness prevention by promoting early intervention.
The successful candidate will have experience of consistently achieving performance targets in conjunction with prioritising a varying and busy workload.
You will also be able to evidence a demonstrable focus for improving services and will be instrumental in shaping and implementing new processes.
